We have a clear vision of what we want to achieve at Mini Mes: we want to provide a safe, happy, caring, secure and stimulating environment for your child, to prepare for their future and to enable all children to develop their capabilities as successful confident learners.

At Mini Mes our nursery ethos is that children’s early years are the most important years of their lives. Therefore we strive to provide high quality childcare and education for your children that is appropriate to their individual needs. This is provided for in a positive, respectful, relaxed and homely environment, surrounded by supportive adults, sensitive to the individual needs of your child and your family.

Working in partnership with parents/carers is vital for effective holistic learning and development. This is achieved by building relationships with each child and family through the key persons approach. The key person will aid the child’s learning and development through support and will guide them to reach their full potential.

As a team we dedicated to continuous professional development and constantly self evaluate our practice to give the best care and learning opportunities we provide for your children, and for the ongoing improvement of their over all nursery experience.

Nursery Fees & Structure

Nursery Structure

Our nursery will be open between 7.30am- 3.30pm, Mon – Fri.

Minimum 3 x session per week required

Should you have more than one child from the same family. There is a 5% discount offered to the youngest sibling.

We are open all year round, excluding Bank Holidays and closed for Christmas.

Additional hours and meals are available, with notice.
*late fees do apply.

Nursery Information

Registration Fee

On acceptance of a nursery place at Mini MEs, we will require a £250 non-refundable deposit and a £200 deposit for any siblings. This fee covers administration costs and the introductory sessions your child will have immediately prior to their start date. Once your child’s place is confirmed, our team will meet with you to discuss settling in days, to form a bond with your little one before the big start date.

Uniform

At Mini Mes, we feel uniform is super important for everyone. We are currently designing and ordering uniform t-shirts, cosy hoodies, sun hats and draw string bags for your children. A price list will be with you shortly.

Food and nutrition

We are super excited to let you know, we have employed an incredible experienced chef, who has worked in some of the best restaurants in Jersey. All meals will be prepared on site, from fresh local products.

Meals Provided will be:
• Breakfast
• Snack
• Hot lunch
• Afternoon snack
• Evening meal

Daily Updates

We are currently trialling some new and exciting Nursery Management Software, to find the perfect one.
The aim is to give parents access to lots of information, from naps and snacks, to magic moments through a secure and easy to use app. We will keep you updated on the software we plan to use.

Exercise & Education

Once we are up and running, and with your permission, we shall take the children for regular pool time at Les Quennevais pool.

Within our team we have a wonderful forest school practitioner, who will encourage and safely nurture the children’s natural curiosity in nature !

We also have a qualified baby yoga teacher who will come in and show the children some gentle movements and encourage them to breath and enjoy some relaxation time.

Mini Mes Holiday Club is an established registered school holiday playcare provider for primary school children located in St Brelade’s Youth Project – Communicare.

We have the use of excellent facilities in the heart of St Brelade’s which has plenty of parking and a huge sports hall. The children are spoiled for choice with a wide array of sports equipment. We also have an outdoor enclosed courtyard, a huge creative area and kitchen. Our mirrored room is ideal for dressing up and discos. Not forgetting our quiet room to read a book or do a puzzle, plus computers, pool tables, air hockey, foosball table, and table tennis to name but a few, so there’s always something fun to do!

Mini Me’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Policy

Mini me’s is a registered childcare setting, under the Day Care of Children (Jersey) Law and we are compliant with regulations set to us, by ‘Jersey Child Care Registration’. Our registration number is AC.13. Please also note that Mini Me’s follow all guidelines of the Data Protection Jersey Law 2005, therefore all confidential information will be handled with the upmost responsibility and care.

We At Mini Me’s, hold data on your child and are therefore a data controller and are subject to follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into force in May 2018. We are very aware of the importance of data protection. We are vert careful about the information we keep and how we keep it.

The information we hold on your child includes but is not limited to:

– Personal information (name, date of birth, address and contact details)
– Characteristics (ethnicity, language, nationality, religion and country of birth)
– Medical Conditions
– Special needs and disabilities
– School/Nursery they attend
– Information on other agencies involved

Why we collect the data:

– To comply with the law
– To provide appropriate care
– To safeguard children

Who we share information with:

– We do not share any information unless completely necessary in the event that it is required by outside agencies such as MASH or Child Care registration. Where appropriate, parents will be informed before any information is shared.
– We would never share any information with other groups without your permission
– Information may be shared with Child Care Registration via reports and visits
– Appropriate agencies if we find a child may be at risk and we are obliged to pass this information on.

How is the information stored?

– All information is stored in a locked secure cabinet.
– Information is also held on a password protected business computer
– Information kept will remain on the premises. It may be appropriate for us to take contact information with us when on outings for emergency purposes.
– When information is no longer required, it will be disposed of appropriately, using a shredder.

Who has access to information?

– Only staff who need access to any information will do so but with the permission of the manager or designated Data Protection officer.
– Parents have the right to see any information kept on their child
– Parents have a right to change or have removed any information they feel is not accurate.
Requesting access to your personal data:
Under data protection legislation, parents and children have the right to request access to information about them that we hold. To make a request for your personal information, contact Marguerite Gilley our Data Protection Officer.

You also have the right to:

– object to processing of personal data that is likely to cause, or is causing, damage or distress
– prevent processing for the purpose of direct marketing
– object to decisions being taken by automated means
– in certain circumstances, have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed
– claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of the Data Protection regulations
